We customize grades of Raney (T) Nickel Catalyst based on customer’s specifications and their reaction conditions.
Technical specifications are provided as per customer’s requirements.
Raney(T) Nickel Catalyst is supplied as a suspension in water packed in steel drums with a self-venting device. These drums are approved as per IMO norms and conditions specified by the UN number regulating dangerous goods. The net weight of the catalyst on a dry basis in each drum is 25 kgs/50 kgs.
Raney(T) Nickel Catalyst is supplied in the standard packaging of 10/20/25kgs in HDPE Drums. Any other specific size can also be done as per the customer’s requirement.
Developed in 1927 by Murray Raney, Raney(T) Nickel is a highly active and porous nickel-based catalyst that transformed the field of industrial hydrogenation. Known for its exceptional efficiency, stability, and reusability, it plays a vital role in various chemical, pharmaceutical, and petrochemical processes. The catalyst consists of a fine, sponge-like structure that provides a large surface area, enabling faster and more controlled reactions.
Raney(T) Nickel is primarily used to convert organic compounds by accelerating the addition of hydrogen atoms without being consumed in the process, making it a truly effective heterogeneous catalyst. Its ability to deliver consistent results under diverse reaction conditions has made it indispensable to manufacturers worldwide, particularly in applications that demand purity, precision, and high activity.
